Message from Achen

Dear Brothers, Sisters and Children,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In Nehemiah 2:20 we read, "The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding." To the very outset this is the message we want to communicate with you. We strongly believe that we are here, not accidentally, but by the will of God. And the mission in front of us is to prepare and mold a community who will always uphold the values of the Kingdom of God. We praise God for this Tampa St. Mark?s Marthoma parish because of its towering name among other churches of the Diocese. So we believe that the one who called us will give us success in all activities of the parish and of its mission.

Here we thank God and His Church for giving us this opportunity to be with you and serve among you, a unique parish like this as the first resident Vicar. The mission in front of us is possible only by the fervent prayer and support of you who are brought by the Almighty over here.

Let us thank God for all my predecessors who have served diligently in His vineyard for your spiritual nourishments and of the society.

This quarter, we have various programs like area prayers and Edavaka Mission meetings, which will be conducted as per new schedule. Here, I request your earnest prayer and support to the quarterly programs of our parish as well as the family conference, clergy conference etc of our Diocese and Sabha Mandalam meeting.
Finally, we thank all our dear members for your kind support extended towards the needs of Vicar?s office, parsonage, etc. We expect the same in the days to come. I exhort your wholehearted participation in all our church activities as well as outreach programs.

• Sevika Sanghom Meeting will be held every third Sunday after Service

Cottage Prayer Meeting:

• The cottage prayer meetings are divided by area.
  Please contact the area representatives to schedule the prayer meeting in your home.

Youth Fellowship:

• The Youth Fellowship will meet every Saturday Prior to Fourth Sunday at the Church at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Choir Practices:

• 1st Sunday : English Choir
• 2nd Sunday : Malayalam Choir
• 3rd Sunday : English Choir
• 4th Sunday : Malayalam Choir (If there is no 5th Sunday): English Choir (If there is a 5th Sunday)
• 5th Sunday : Malayalam Choir (If applicable)

Sunday school:

• Our Sunday School Classes begin for the new term on Sunday, August 3rd at 9:15am.

Edavaka Mission:

• : The Edavaka Mission meetings will be held at 6:00 ? 8:00 PM on Saturday Prior to Fourth Sunday at the Church

Fasting Prayer:

• Fasting Prayer Fasting prayer will be held on 1st Friday and 3rd Friday of every month at the Church.
